What is Liquid Face Lift?

When it comes to surgeries, the first thing that comes to mind is of course side effects, anesthesia difficulties and the rest period after the procedure. So, where does technology fit into this? What if the person does not want to undergo or risk surgery? Modern medicine offers new alternatives to patients and doctors for face lift. Recently, the most commonly heard of these methods are liquid facelift, thread facelift, and face lifting by creating light or thermal damage. So, where exactly does liquid facelift stand among these techniques? The most effective creams and topical products only work where they reach: the superficial layers of the skin. However, in order to eliminate sagging, products that are injected into the skin and subcutaneous tissue have been developed to create significant effects. Most of such applications are called “liquid facelift” or “liquid facelift” by doctors. Fillers or muscle relaxant products used can lighten or disappear lines and sagging. These injectable products can effectively change the appearance, but do not create the downtime and cost required for surgery. In this method, by replacing the tissues lost over time, the patient is provided with his old appearance and even a better appearance by completing the normally existing deficiencies.

Who Can Have Liquid Face Lift?

Middle and upper age group patients with mild to moderate sagging of the chin, significant tissue loss, vertical lines between the lips and nose, and marionette-style lines around the nose and chin constitute the patient group that can benefit most from this method. Those with diabetes, some bleeding disorders, some muscle and nerve diseases, and some immune system patients are not suitable for this procedure. People should be carefully evaluated by practicing physicians before application. Recently, hyaluronic acid, which is preferred as a filler and is also present in normal connective tissue, has become the most used substance. In addition, products that activate the connective tissue cells under the skin and cause new tissue formation (tissue activators) are also available.

Things to Consider After Liquid Facelift Procedure

Side effects of the application may include slight bruising and redness at the needle entry points after the application. These scars disappear within 3-5 days and can be hidden with a simple concealer in the meantime. In applications performed by experts, there is no permanent swelling or balloon-like appearance on the patient’s face. In liquid facelift, the connective and fatty tissue that the tissues normally contain and are lost over time are replaced. Since this loss usually occurs in the deep layers of the face and under the muscle layer, when it is corrected, it does not create a swollen and unnatural appearance from the outside, and that swollen facial appearance that everyone is afraid of does not exist in this application. Due to the injections, sometimes a low-grade temporary edema may develop in the days after the application. In short, what you will hear most from those around you is that your face is in better shape and looks more vigorous. Minimal pain and discomfort is felt thanks to the numbing creams and sometimes numbing injections applied during the procedure.

Liquid Face Lift Permanence

The effect of liquid facelift can last between 1.5 and 2 years, depending on the material and method used. During this period, the material is absorbed as a result of natural metabolic processes, and as a result of the activation it creates in the tissues, the cells in the body can activate and form connective tissue elements. Thus, even if the material used melts completely, the skin becomes better than before. Application time varies between 30 minutes and 1 hour and does not reduce the patient’s quality of life. The patient is routinely called for a check-up after 1 week and necessary touch-ups are made. During this period, excessive exercise should be avoided. Liquid facelift is a procedure performed to restore lost volume to the face, giving it its former appearance or even better.
